Software for real business problems
Secure, reliable products across web, mobile, desktop, and infrastructure—scoped clearly so you know what you’re investing in, and engineered so they hold up in production.
Building software is a wilderness of tradeoffs. Midbar stays in it with you—from a focused product on one surface to a multi-platform system across web, mobile, desktop, and the services behind them. The platform and capability mix is shaped in discovery—not a one-size checklist—and security and reliability are part of the foundation, not an afterthought.
Project packages
Starting investments for the main build—not the typical total. You’ll get a clear fixed quote after a short discovery call.
Starter
From $8,000
- One primary platform (web, mobile, or desktop)
- Focused scope—typically a small set of core screens
- Basic accounts and sign-in when needed
- Clean, professional interface design
- Layouts that work well on phones and desktops
- Core forms or lightweight in-product tools
A tightly scoped tool or product on one primary surface—limited screens, clear goal, quick path to something usable.
Professional
From $25,000
- Full product build on the primary platform
- Secure accounts, roles, and permissions
- Commerce or billing when needed
- Core production hygiene (e.g. backups as scoped)
- Notifications and day-to-day team tooling
- Deeper security and multi-platform work quoted separately when needed
A capable business application with real operational depth. Final quotes often land above the floor as scope firm.
Full system
From $60,000
- Everything typically in Professional, expanded for multi-surface work
- Multi-platform clients (web, mobile, and/or desktop) as scoped
- Backend services, APIs, and shared infrastructure
- Custom automation and third-party integrations
- Advanced security and hardening as scoped into the quote
- Ongoing support available after launch (retainer)
Broader systems—multiple surfaces, shared backend, and room for serious infrastructure and security.
Capability areas
These are the kinds of ground projects often cross. Not a fixed list and not included in every package—your mix comes from what you’re solving, then lands in the quote.
Access & identity
Who can sign in, what they can see, and who is allowed to act.
Commerce & billing
Charge, collect, reconcile, and handle money movement in-product.
Workflows & operations
Coordinate people, time, and work without spreadsheet chaos.
Communications
Keep users and teams informed at the right moment, in the right channel.
Admin & insight
Run the business day to day with clear control, reporting, and internal tools.
Continuity & resilience
Backups, recovery, and production hygiene so the system can take a hit.
Infrastructure & security
Hardening and operations work when data, compliance, or uptime matter. Not free defaults inside every package—scoped into the project quote or a support retainer.
Database backups & disaster recovery
Automated verification, dual repositories, and recovery runbooks.
Key management & rotation
Centralized secrets, certificate lifecycle, and rotation logic.
Runtime monitoring
Retainer onlyFile integrity, behavioral monitoring, and alert routing—kept healthy over time, not a one-off install.
Data security & advanced permissions
Row- and column-level controls (RLS, CLS), encryption, and role models so the right people see—and can change—only the right data.
Container security scanning
Image scanning in the build pipeline with ongoing checks.
Zero trust architecture
Defense-in-depth design: backups, key management, data permissions, encryption, mTLS, container security, and documentation. Ongoing monitoring pairs with a support retainer.
Ongoing support
Monthly floors for keeping systems healthy. Hours and scope are set in the retainer agreement; overage is quoted separately.
Basic maintenance
From $1,800/mo
Bug fixes, small updates, and light keep-alive work (about 10–15 hours per month).
Standard support
From $3,500/mo
Maintenance plus security updates, routine database care, and room for small improvements.
Infrastructure & security
From $5,500/mo
Backups and recovery oversight, keys and certificates, runtime monitoring, and infrastructure guidance—where Midbar’s depth shows most.
Full partnership
From $6,000/mo
Priority help plus ongoing feature work and improvements, alongside healthy systems.
How engagement works
We move through discovery, design, and build together—so direction stays clear.
- 1
Discovery
Learn the terrain—goals, users, constraints, and what success looks like.
- 2
Proposal
Map the path with a scoped package and a clear quote.
- 3
Design
Orient together—shape the experience and approve it before we build.
- 4
Build
March on the approved design with regular demos along the way.
- 5
Launch & care
New ground—deploy, document, and stay on if you want ongoing support.
Common questions
Straight answers about scope, pricing, and how we work together.
Are package prices fixed or just starting points?
Package prices are starting investments (“From $X”)—the floor for a tightly scoped engagement, not a promise of the typical total. After discovery, you get a clear fixed quote for the main build.
Is everything in the capability list included in every package?
No. Capability areas describe ground projects often cross—not a menu of free add-ons and not a promise that every package includes all of them. What’s in scope is decided in discovery and written into the quote.
Why is there a design phase before build?
So we align on the experience before development starts. You approve the design; then we build what we agreed—keeping the hard middle predictable.
Do you only build websites?
No. Midbar builds across web, mobile, desktop, and the systems underneath—products and infrastructure shaped around the problem, not a single platform.
What about security and monitoring?
Security and infrastructure work is scoped into the project quote when you need it—it is not assumed free inside every package. Runtime monitoring is ongoing operations and is offered with support retainers, not as a one-off install-and-forget line item.
How do retainers work?
Retainers cover a set amount of ongoing help each month. Basic is light keep-alive; standard adds security updates and small improvements; infrastructure & security focuses on backups, keys, monitoring, and stack health; full partnership adds room for priority feature work. Floors are on the services page; exact hours and scope are set when we agree the retainer.
Ready to walk through your project?
Pricing depends on size and complexity. Package prices are starting investments—you’ll get a clear fixed quote after discovery. Most projects use a flat fee for the main work.
All prices are in USD and shown as starting points. Final quotes follow a short discovery call.
